We did all we could do as far as getting the new air conditioning unit set in place and hooked up.  Now it will be over to the electrician to wire it for us.  It needs to have a small breaker for safety.  Sure would hate to shock a visitor!  We had to make several trips to town today; once to get rubber grommets to keep the air conditioner from vibrating and another time to buy cokes.  We were excited when we drove by and saw that a new supply of cokes had finally come to Yendi.  These cokes are in small glass bottles and something about an ice cold coke in a glass bottle is just wonderful!  Life’s simple pleasures….”

Nazo tried to paint the new chicken coop in the rain this morning.  He was using oil paint.  Finally Steve asked him why he was painting in the rain; he really did not have an answer.  Steve told him he could wait until tomorrow to do the painting besides Nazo was not feeling well today.  An older woman who is raising an orphan came this morning to get formula for the baby and while Nazo was trying to interpret for us he kept coughing, bending over trying to throw up!  Watching him made me want to throw up!  He told Steve that he thought he had malaria.  They always think every illness is malaria.  He had already taking malaria medicine so there was nothing else we could do for him except give him some Ibuprofen and send him home.  We were happy to see him go!  We did not want whatever he had.

Red called shortly before Bible study to tell us that he had found a 55 gallon metal drum and had cut it in half length wise for a barbecue pit to replace the rusted out one.  We don’t do a lot of barbecuing in the drum; mostly we use it as a burn pit.  The stand was still good so it was easy to remove the old one and put in the new one.

Red came and took the measurements for a new scaffolding for Nazo.  The one Nazo is presently using is made of wood and every year Steve has to replace the boards.  It is 4 feet tall and made sort of like a bench.  It is 5 feet across.  We decided to make one that would last a long time.

We did not have time to eat before Bible study.  We are starved so I will close for now and find something for us to eat!  Wish there was a Burger King or Wendy’s nearby!  But there is not; I don’t even think there are even any in the country!

Keep praying for us!

In His Service,

Steve and Kandie
