Several years ago Mary Stroud gave us a children’s book about the God Head.  It is an excellent book.  It explains the God Head by using an apple.  The skin is part of the apple but it is also separate; the seeds are part of the apple but they have a special function; the flesh of the apple is also part but separate.  Today Steve used the book in the monthly classes.  Last time we were in Tamale we bought a case of apples.  We knew that most of the men in the class had never eaten an apple.  Apples do not grow in Ghana.  The ones we bought were imported from South Africa.  Steve took enough apples to cut in half so the men could examine it and then eat it right away.  He also took enough so that each of the men could take one home with them to share with their family.  Hopefully while they are sharing the apple they will also share the example of how the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are all different but still one.  Steve said that 17 of the men that attended the class had never eaten an apple.  Isn’t that amazing?  They enjoyed the class!

After class Steve and I brought all the men back to the mission house and gave them the bags of clothes that we brought back from Kumasi a couple weeks ago.  They were excited about getting the clothes.  Steve then loaded them in the van and took them to their various bus stops so they could catch a ride home.  He also paid for the transport for the clothes.  Thanks so much to all of those of you who help us with the evangelist side of the work.  These guys really appreciate everything you do for them.

The young man who weeded yesterday came back bright and early this morning and started working again.  He wanted to start spraying right away but Steve said it rained last night and the grass was very wet.  Steve made him wait until the grass dried off to spray because he did not want to dilute the spray.  He finished about 3:00 this afternoon.  He will be back in a couple weeks to finish the work.

It is almost time for Friday Bible study and I am hungry!

Have a great day!

In His Service,

Steve and Kandie
