We left the house as soon as we could this morning.  Osman came to spray the trees again.  We can’t stand the smell of the spray.  Soon Osman will start spraying only one time a month as a preventative measure which will be wonderful.

We decided that today was the day we were going to buy all the supplies for the Child Center and for the maintenance of the mission property.  We usually just wait until we run out of something to replace it but we decided that if we went on one big shopping spree it would save us time and headache in the long run.  Anyway, that is the plan we will let you know how well it works.

We spent about 4 hours shopping.  We went everywhere and bought everything from medicine to formula to paint to food.  We were not able to get everything that we wanted but we got about 85% of it.  The van was loaded down.  It was past lunch time when we got back to the mission house.  We stopped at one of the chop bars and got some lunch.  Mr. Iddrisu went with us today.  We treated him and Nazo to lunch.  We spent part of the afternoon organizing the store room.  It looks very nice.  We bought a record book so Mr. Iddrisu can keep track of what has been used and when it is time to buy more supplies.

We planned to take Abdulai Fusheni the book case this afternoon but the air conditioning fan in the green truck stopped working so we had no truck to haul it.  We were anxious about the air conditioning because we are need to drive the truck to visit one of the congregations tomorrow so we can take them a bench.  Gomda the mechanic got the fan working and tightened the belt to the compressor.  It was cooling beautifully when I drove it back to the mission house.

Timothy Niligrini, the evangelist came to the mission house this morning with Emmanuel, another of the evangelists.  Emmanuel is an old guy and he is having a hard time remembering.  He forgot to come to the monthly class so he came this morning to get his pay.  We know that he can’t remember so we don’t expect too much out of him.  We sort of consider him to be on retirement.

Thank you for all you do for us and for the work.

In His Service,

Steve and Kandie
