It rained for hours and hours last night and this morning. The rain slacked off around 7:00 this morning just in time for Mr. Iddrisu to make it to work; then it started up again. Zorash had a meeting in town this morning that had to be postponed until 11:00 and it was still drizzling when the meeting started. By the time the second round of storms passed through it was too late for Meri and Amama to come to work.
I worked on the books off and on all day! I really only stopped to fix lunch and supper. Paul helped me; he ran the computer and fine tweaked the way I was figuring the withholding tax. We did more talking than we did actual work! Ha! At least the weather was cooler today because of the rain and we were able to spread the receipts out on the dining room table instead of being cramped up in the office. I am sure that the Ghanaians would have considered it to be “bitterly cold”.
Around noon Red came to the mission house so he and Paul could go to town to get gas and exchange money.
When we called the hotel /apartment in Accra to make reservations for Paul and Red we found out that the manager, Ben, was going to be traveling when we were there so to expedite things we paid for the rooms with mobile money. Ben said the receipts would be waiting on us when we got there. Paul is leaving Yendi early tomorrow morning. He will be flying back to the states on Friday. We in turn will be flying down on Saturday to pick up our daughter Charity and grandsons Taylor and Parker. We are beyond excited to see them!
Steve spent most of the day in the office trying to get everything printed and collated for the annual report for the Child Center’s license renewal. Half way through making copies he ran out of copy paper and had to make a trip to town.
Please keep us and the work in your prayers this week. Please pray for those of us that will be traveling.
In HIS Service,

The first half of the day was not good for me at all! It rained and I do not like to get wet. Sometimes it was thundering and the wind was blowing; all that made me very nervous! It was raining so heavily that Mom did not get me out of the condo until after lunch! It was also very cold today; I was freezing! The first time that Mom tried to get me to come out of the condo I was up in my “tiny house” at the top of the condo. Mom put one of her old worn-out dresses in my tiny house; when she came to get me, I was using the fabric from the dress for a blanket. I was all rolled up in the fabric and all anyone could see was my head! She called and called me but I would not come down. She had a bottle and a piece of fried cheese for me. She did not know that Mr. Iddrisu had already given me a bottle so I was not hungry; I was warm and there was no reason for me to come down. She waited a little while and the next time she came, all the rain had stopped and I had warmed up and was ready to play!
I played on the back veranda the rest of the day! Mom was working on receipts so Dad was my salvation. He brought me snacks and came out and sat with me to keep me company!
Everyone should have a “tiny house” like mine!
Love, Skeeter
