We have been in Tamale most of the day.  We went over to pick up the brother from Sunyani that is holding the seminar for us tomorrow.  He came up on the large Metro Mass bus.  He did not arrive at the bus stop that we thought he was going to be at.  We had to ask directions to find out where the other bus stop was.  He was very gracious and did not seem to mind that we were late in picking him up.  We stopped for a bite to eat before we headed back to Yendi.  We got back to the mission house around 4:00.  We are waiting for the brother from Kumasi to arrive.  His bus will take him all the way to Yendi.  He should be here around 7:30.  Supper is ready and waiting for his arrival.

While we were in Tamale we hunted around for more water proof paint.  We were very disappointed that we did not find any.  At each place we stopped to ask we were sent to another place to check.  Finally we went back to the hardware store that helped us find the large poly tank last week.  We talked to the same guy and he said he would check around and see if he could locate some for us.  We will check again when we take the brother back to Tamale on Saturday to catch his bus home.

Red was supposed to go to Tamale today with his big truck and pick up the poly tank.  He was not able to go because his truck needs to have the tires changed.  When he was in Accra earlier in the week he bought some new ones.  He had them shipped to Yendi but they have not arrived yet.  I guess he will go on Monday.

The masons are going to complete the work on the new building today.  We stopped to see how the work was coming along as we passed through Kulkpeni on our way back from Tamale.  It is looking very good.  Nazo, the day man / painter, asked us if we would give him the job of painting the new building.  He said he needed the extra work and that he would do it on his days off.  The church members usually do the painting for free but how can we resist giving a man work when he needs the money?

My brother Buz, the one that came to Ghana with us last year and worked like a mad man, and accomplished more in 1 month than we could have gotten done in a whole year, found out that he has ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease).  We are devastated; at the present time there is no cure for ALS.  Please, Please, Please keep him, his family and the doctors in your prayers.

Thanks for all you do for us and for the work.

In His Service,

Steve and Kandie
