The masons ran out of sea sand this morning. I think they call it sea sand because they get it from the river. When the dump trucks roll into Yendi the water is still draining out of the sand. We were fortunate that the mason owns a motor king tricycle machine and he was able to haul the rest of the sand they will need to complete the project. We hated the thought of buying another full dump truck of sand because it would be twice as much as they need to finish the job.
The masons also ran out of water today so Steve hired some of the ladies to haul water from the well to the job site. We had ordered a tanker of water but he never showed up. We hope to get a tanker tomorrow because we hate to use well water for a building project. The well water is safer to use for drinking and bathing. River water is just fine for a building project.
Zorash, the receptionist, was a little late for work this morning because one of her friends went into labor and she took her to the hospital on her motorcycle. Being in labor and riding on the back of a motorcycle does not sound like fun to me! I guess it beats riding on a bicycle or walking! We have not heard how the labor / delivery went or if the baby was a girl or a boy. Surely we will find out something tomorrow. They only let the mothers stay in the hospital for a few hours.
We had another hot day today; 119 degrees. We waited until late in the afternoon before we went out to work in the guest round house. It looks nice and smells fresh because we put some deodorizers around to help get rid of the musty / dusty smell. Steve said he wouldn’t mind staying in the round house himself. Next time I am annoyed with him he can go out there and stay. Ha!
Take care and keep the work in your prayers.
In His Service,
Steve and Kandie
