Well, the men showed up this morning to finish hauling the blocks. Mr. Iddrisu has a paper and he is keeping track of the number of blocks that still need to be moved. The men did not come early so I told Mr. Iddrisu that he had to make sure that they hauled all the blocks before they quit for the day. Well, they came up to the house about 3:30 and said that they had moved 350 blocks and thought they were finished. When we did the calculations, they still had 20 blocks left to move. They were not happy that we sent them back out to get the rest of the blocks but we needed to put this job to bed! We gave them each a coke to give them energy to pull the rest of the blocks. Then when the job was done, we gave them extra money which made the work seem not so terrible! Ha!
Mr. Iddrisu and Donkey have both been working to pay off their debts. Mr. Iddrisu has been putting in more time than Donkey so he finished his debt and actually had money coming back to him. He was happy to go home with money in his pocket today!
We were supposed to go out to Kulkpeni this afternoon and check on the bathhouses but we decided that we would wait until this evening because we are going to Kulkpeni for Bible study anyway.
Red stopped by this morning; he said that he had the doors made and that he was going to paint them this afternoon. We were in hopes that they would be dry enough to take out when we went to Bible study but that is not the case. Mr. Iddrisu will take them out in the motor king tomorrow.
First thing this morning we took the green truck to Gomda the mechanic; when the men worked on the air conditioner, they had to pull out the instrument panel, radio and glove box. Well, when they put the glove box back in, they locked it and we could not get it to open. Gomda, the mechanic, took it to the shade tree locksmith to see if he could get it opened. We really needed it open because the paperwork and insurance is in the glove box. Gomda said that he had to help the man and that they thought they were not going to be able to get it open. When they finally got it opened, they figured out that the a/c guys broke the lock and glued it back together with some sort of super glue. Gomda said it was a mess and no longer usable. The lock smith had an old glove box from a condemned vehicle that he was able to use to rework ours. He did a good job because it still uses the same key and it will lock and unlock. Not that we care about locking it; we have never locked it in the 25+ years we have had the vehicle.
Around lunch time we went with Zorash to town to buy corn and soybeans for our next batch of weaning mix.
Matthew, one of the church leaders, from Kulkpeni stopped by this morning to pick up the money for the beans (black-eyed peas) that we will be serving at the seminar. He will deliver the beans later when it is closer to the seminar.
Thank you for all you do! We appreciate all the help!

Milkshakes are back on the menu; banana milkshakes to be exact! I have enjoyed 2 already today and I am hoping for a 3rd one before I go to bed tonight! No harm in wishing!
I gave Mom a fright today! She went out to my condo and the big door was standing wide open and she could not find me! She called and called and was looking around everywhere! I called back to her and she saw me in the big mango tree. She thought I was running free and that she would never be able to catch me. As she got closer to the tree, she could tell that I was on my leash. Mom heard Dad say he was going to go and put me outside; she thought that meant in my condo but really Dad put me in the tree. Mom was so worried; she kept saying, “I almost had a heart attack! I almost had a heart attack! Really, Mom is so dramatic! She really was not looking for me for more than a minute or two. I was right there all the time! I called her to let her know I was in the tree! Would it have really been so bad if I had gotten out? I would have enjoyed running free!
Anyone up for a game of “Hide-n-seek”? Mom wants to play too!
Love, Skeeter
