We were at the meat market bright and early this morning. We wanted to get our beef before the flies arrived! Today we bought 54 ½ pounds of boneless meat. Most of it looked good but as always we had a lot of waste. What we consider waste makes a nice stew for others. We shared the meat with the workers. They are happy when we work up meat. Poor Jack cranked the meat grinder until he thought his arm might fall off. He said that if grinding meat was his permanent job he would look funny because one arm would be huge and the other skinny!

Jack and Nazo made a couple trips to town today in the motor king to pick up podiums. I guess Nazo was tired because on the last trip he was sprawled out in the back of the motor king reclining on the mattresses. They use the thin foam mattresses to keep the podium from rubbing together.

This afternoon we received a visit from one of the first handicapped babies we helped at the Child Center. Asana is 15 years old now. They came to the mission house to see if we had a new wheel chair to replace her worn out one. We did not have a new one but we had a used one that was in better shape than the one she was using. She was proud to get a better wheelchair.

One of the coordinators that help with the school at Kpamang stopped by for a visit. He told Steve that he wanted him to send his 3 children to school. He wanted Steve to pay their school fees. We do not know this man very well. We have only seen him once or twice. It was a surprise when he asked for school fees. Steve very kindly turned down his request. Helping with school fees is a bottomless pit!

Just before supper, Red, the part time driver, stopped by to say hello. He had a terrible day. He rushed to the gravel pit to get a load of gravel for the Regent. He had just loaded his truck when he got stuck. He had to dump the gravel to get his truck un-stuck. Then he got a call from the Regent that said he did not need the gravel; one of the road contractors had given him a load. Red wasted the whole day and made no money!

Steve got the seminar program finished while Mr. Iddrisu and I worked on the books. Mr. Iddrisu and I did not get finished before it was time for him to go home. Maybe we will have time to work on them tomorrow afternoon.

Take care and have a great day!

In His Service,

Jack, Steve and Kandie
