Red and Paul got the flashing molded for the roof this afternoon.  We decided that we wanted to put some flashing around the outside edge of the roof so the roof’s over hang could be shortened and make it easier to clean the cement gutters.  Getting the roofer to understand how we want the flashing attached to the roof is another challenge.

The mangos in the big mango tree are almost gone.  We are always happy to see the last of them because when the workers eat the mangos they throw the skins and seeds on the ground.  The mangos that the bats eat just fall to the ground.  It is Nazo’s job to rake up the mess every morning.  I am sure he will be happy when they are gone too.

The electricity just went off again!  Hopefully it will come back on in a few minutes.

My brother Paul gave us money to buy an air conditioner for the little room we eat in.  We went out this afternoon in search for one.  There are a couple places in Yendi that are now carrying air conditioners, small refrigerators and small freezers.  It would be nice to find one in Yendi instead of having to go to Tamale to get one.  In years gone by we had to go to Accra or Kumasi to get an air conditioner.  Yendi is really coming up in the world!  We found a couple but were not familiar with the brands so we went to the air conditioner repair man to get his advice.  He jumped in the truck with us so he could check them out and help us buy a quality one.  We could not find a good one so he called a friend of his to see what type he had.  We are waiting for him to call us back.

Steve cut down a small tree this afternoon and he repaired the gate this morning.  While we were gone the children broke down the gate crawling over it to get into the yard to get the cashew fruit off the trees.

Several church members came by today to buy Bibles and communion juice.  Steve keeps these things on hand and supplements the cost so more of the church members can afford them.

Thank you for all you do for us and for the work.  Please keep us in your prayers.

In His Service,

Steve, Kandie and Paul
