Steve had to go back to the dentist this afternoon because cold water was causing him pain again. The dentist said that he found another place where the tooth was exposed. It did not take him long to fix it. He also saw another place on the other side of Steve’s mouth that needed a little attention so Steve had him fix that while he was working on his teeth this afternoon. An ounce of prevention…
This morning we went to the carvers’ village and did a little shopping. I did not find much to buy because we have been there so often that we have almost everything that they make but it is still nice to walk around and hunt for a treasure!
After it got a little cooler this afternoon we went to the “Wild Gecko”; a high end craft shop. I bought a few children’s books and some things to give as gifts. We had to walk a little while before we found a taxi to take us back to the hotel. We needed a little exercise anyway!
Divine called this morning and said that he needed more money to finish processing his driver’s license. He said that he passed the test but needed money for the actual license. Steve sent him the money through his cell phone. About an hour later he called and said that they had added something else onto his bill; I think it was the license plate that changed him from a learner license to a real driver’s license. He is supposed to come to the mission house on Friday and bring the receipts.
Alhassan, the social welfare officer from Yendi also called this morning. He stopped by the mission house yesterday to pick up the money we promised to help with the hospital cost for the girl who got the reconstructive surgery. Since we were not in Yendi Steve sent him mobile money too. Mobile money is a very convenient way to send money. It seems to be safe. Anyway we have not lost any money yet.
Thank you for your love, prayers and support.
In His Service,
Steve and Kandie
