Today was spent cleaning. But then what’s new about that? Ha! When Meri, Amama and Zorash walked into the house this morning their mouths dropped open at the amount of damage the rain did. Nazo’s wife and daughter came and helped out again today. Today was Yendi’s big market day so they were extra happy to have some additional work. I told Steve that we really don’t have to worry if it rains again because I think most of the damage that can be done has been done.

Zorash was not feeling good today. She thinks she has malaria. We gave her some malaria medicine. Malaria usually makes the patient have a bad headache. She had taken some ibuprofen early this morning. We gave her some Tylenol and a coke. By mid morning she was feeling better but still not back to normal. If it is malaria she will feel better in a couple days.

This morning we started passing out the crocheted baby hats that some of the church ladies made. All the mothers thought the baby hats were so cute. I got some good pictures of the babies wearing the hats. It is amazing how much pleasure such a small gifts gives. Our thanks go out to the ladies who made the hats for all their hard work!

This afternoon a couple of the brothers from Bungbali stopped by for a visit. One of the brothers had lots of questions. He had written the questions in the form of a letter. It took several hours to answer all his questions. Most of the questions were on the day to day operations of the church and what the church was allowed to do. He has been influences by some of the denominations and wanted answers as to why things are so different in other churches. He seemed to be satisfied with the answers. It was after 5:00 by the time they left and they still had a 2 hour motorcycle ride to get back home. It will be dark by the time they get home.

The roofers are steadily working on the roof. Abochi, the carpenter said that he hoped to start putting the metal roofing sheets on day after tomorrow; which is good news to our ears! Mr. Iddrisu and Nazo started cutting the felt tar paper this morning. The tar paper has to be cut into small squares. The roofing nails are stuck through the tar paper to make a water proof barrier between the nail and the metal roofing.

Thank you for your love, prayers and support. Without your help this work could not go on!
In His Service,
Steve and Kandie
