The roof is on!!! What a happy day! The roofers finished shortly before noon this morning. Anyway, they thought they were finished but they had not flashed the chimney or one of the vent pipes that was coming out of the roof. Well, the roofer told us that we could have the mason put cement around it when he came to finish the plaster repairs inside the house. What, do we look stupid? If it rains the roof will leak around the chimney and the vent pipe. It might be weeks before we get the ceilings repaired and are ready for the mason. Steve told him that he had some flashing material that had a tar backing that he wanted them to put around the chimney and the vent pipe. It did not take them too long to put the material on and at least now it is sealed. Let it rain, let it rain, let it rain!

Zorash came back to work this morning but she was moving very slowly. She has not been able to eat for 3 days and she has no energy; she said that she does not even feel like drinking anything and in this heat that is detrimental to your health. She said that the IV fluids did help. I thought that she went to the hospital to get the fluids but one of the medical assistances actually came to her house to give them to her. He also gave her an injection for malaria and started her on antibiotics.

Nazo and Mr. Iddrisu spent the day sorting the left over lumber and removing nails from the roofing sheets that we are not going to use. They made several trips with the motor king to their houses to drop off the material. We did not want that stuff lying around the mission house because that is a good hiding place for snakes and scorpions! The yard looks much better.

Nazo’s daughter, Azara came up to the mission house today to tell us good-bye. She was going to go back to Tamale to be with her husband. I am sure that Nazo and his wife were sad to see her and the new grandbaby leave. Steve gave her a little traveling money for her trip.

Timothy Niligrini the evangelist, stopped by for a visit this morning. Steve and Timothy were making plans for the monthly classes. This month’s class should be very interesting; I think I might attend the class this month. They are going to answers a list of questions the evangelists and church leaders compiled.

At the moment Steve is working on the wiring for the new air conditioner. The air conditioning repair man is supposed to come tomorrow to connect it and the switch to the plug was ruined. He won’t be able to connect it if there is no power coming to the switch.

Take care and have a great day!
In His Service,
Steve and Kandie
