I woke up at 1:30 this morning with an idea!  We needed to go to Tamale to the bank today so we would have the money we needed to start work replacing the ceiling in the mission house that were damaged by the rain.  If we did not go today we would have to wait until Monday and that would be 2 days of wasted time.  I woke Steve up to tell him the plan because I was afraid that we would over sleep and not be able to leave by 7:00.  He just mumbled ok and went back to sleep.  Wouldn’t you hate to be my husband?

We left for Tamale a few minutes after 7:00.  It is also time to do the insurance renewals on several of the vehicles and the renewal on the liability insurance.  Before we left we gathered up all that paper work too.  Some of the insurance is not due until April but they always let us renew everything at once.

My brother Paul was supposed to come back to Yendi today so as we were going to Tamale we called him to see where he was, he was already in Tamale which was a surprise to us.  We decided to meet at SWAD for lunch.  When we met up with Paul and Red we found out that they had been in Tamale for several days.  When they heard that it had rained in Yendi and ruined the ceilings they decided to cut their trip to Wa short and come back to help us.  On the way to Wa they had a blow out and could not find a matching tire.  They drove back to Tamale without a spare.  As they were leaving Tamale to come to Yendi their trucks fan belts broke and somehow part of the fan belt got in the engine and caused lots of internal damage.  It took them a couple days to rebuild the engine.  They have had quite a time of it.  They did not have any trouble with the truck on the way back to Yendi; it seems like they got the problem fixed.

Tamale got several days of rain so it was cooler in Tamale today and it was cloudy all day.  We had a very pleasant day in Tamale.  We got all our business taken care of and we did a little shopping.  We can get a larger variety of fresh fruits and vegetable in Tamale than we can in Yendi.

After we got back to Yendi Zorash came to the mission house.  An older lady had come to her house this afternoon with a set of twins.  Their mother died 3 days ago and they needed formula.  Zorash showed her how to mix the formula.  She will come back to the Center on Monday so we can get the babies weight and family history.

Thank you for everything you do for us and the work!

In His Service,

Steve, Kandie and Paul
