We spent a good portion of the morning ironing and folding shirts and tying ties. Thanks to your generous gifts we have enough shirts and ties to give the church leaders and evangelists. They love the shirts and ties; they think they make them look handsome. We want to get them ready to give to the men when they come for the monthly class so they will have something new to wear to the seminar at the end of October. Well, technically the shirts and ties are not new, they have been gently used, but they like them just as well as something new. I iron and fold them like they came out of a package and pin them in place so they will keep looking nice until they are unpinned. As soon as I saw Jack this morning I asked him if he knew how to tie a tie. I was so excited when he said he did. I told him to get tying! Steve and Jack tied enough ties so that each of the men will get two. Timothy Niligrini, the evangelist, calls these shirts “store front shirts” because of the way they are folded.

We are waiting for Gomda, the mechanic, to call and tell us that the truck is finished. He called early this morning and told us that he had to send to Tamale to get the gasket. Steve talked to him a little while ago and he said that he would be finished in one hour.

Steve got some more of the Teak trees that were hanging over the cement fence trimmed. He threw most of branches over the wall for the neighbor lady. We must share the wealth and we just took each of the workers a truck load of fire wood. We know our neighbor was happy when she saw the branches flying over the wall! Happy Day!

This afternoon Steve laid out the line for the water pipe that will run from the cistern to the lower poly tank. He started digging the trench. The ground is soft because of all the rain we have had recently. Speaking of rain; Timothy Niligrini just called and said that the water was over the bridge on the road we planned to travel on to church tomorrow. We are not sure that we will be able to get to the village. One of the brothers will call tomorrow morning and let us know the status of the water. We might
have to change our plans.

Thank you for all the love, prayers and support.

In His Service,

Jack, Kandie and Steve
