High temperature today was 115 degrees, there was not a cloud in the sky and that sun was brutal!  Steve is outside spraying for mosquitoes; you would think that with it being so hot and dry there would be no where for the mosquitoes to live but they are everywhere.  He sprayed inside the house last night but still there were a few lingering around this morning.  The watchmen will especially appreciate the spraying.

The air conditioner repairman was able to fix the air conditioner.  We were surprised that he was able to find a replacement fan so quickly.  He said that he could not sleep last night for thinking about how to fix the unit.  I think he was worried about someone trying to sleep in that room without an air conditioner.

Paul and Red spent the day in Tamale getting driver’s license renewed, truck tags and insurance.

We made several trips to town today.  We are out of weaning mix at the Child Center so we bought some pre-made weaning mix and the corn and soybeans so we can cook our own on Monday.  We also took our bicycles to the mechanic to have them greased.

Abochi, the carpenter that is going to put on the new roof stopped by this morning.  He is supposed to bring a crew tomorrow and start pulling off the tin so the mason can put an extra row of cement blocks around the house so it will make changing the roof’s pitch easier.  Abochi said that he wants to be in charge of buying the lumber for the roof so we will be sure to get the strongest lumber.

Our neighbor Mr. Oldman stopped by for a visit and so did Timothy Niligrini the evangelist.  Mostly they wanted to get a firsthand look at Steve to make sure that he was really OK!  It is hard for them to grasp the idea of surgery on an artery of your heart.  What am I saying?  It is hard for me to grasp too.

Today is our oldest grandson Taylor’s birthday.  He is 13 years old and so proud to be a teenager!  We had a birthday party for him before we left but it is still not the same as being there.

Please keep us and the work in your prayers.

In His Service,

Steve, Kandie and Paul
