Kandie and I were on the road by 6:30 this morning. Our destination for the day was Tamale. We had a lot of business that needed to be done. Our first stop was Japan Motors to drop off the blue van for regular service and oil change. We were about 2 miles from Japan Motors when I felt a strange feeling in the steering wheel and the van shimmied. As I looked in my rear view mirror I noticed the driver’s side back tire looking different. The short of it was the side wall of the tire had a big rubber bulge the size of a baseball on it and by the grace of God we were able to get to Japan Motors without a blowout .
After leaving the van for servicing we went to the Vodafone internet café office, then on to the bank. A block down the street from the bank is our lawyer’s office. We had an appointment with him around 10 am. From there we went to the lands commission, then back to Japan Motors to pick up the van. The motor vehicle department is right beside Japan Motors and we needed to renew the VELD sticker for the blue van. After eating lunch we were back at it. We bought the domestic plane tickets we will need to use when John and Steve come later on in the month for the seminar. Next we purchased four gallons of motor oil to do oil changes for two of the vehicles and I also bought a new tire for the van. We had a little time to go visit the office that takes care of the employee’s retirement fund. We still have to go to the bank in the morning and return back to this office with the paperwork. We ended the day by going to a vulcanizer (tire repairman) to have the new tire put on the rim and balance it.
We are spending the night in Tamale so we can finish up our business in the morning before heading back to Yendi. Please keep us in your prayers.
In His service,
Stephen and Kandie Taylor
