Everyone was at work this morning! Hurrah! It is so nice when everyone comes to work. We get so much more done. Jack did not even have a chance to eat his breakfast this morning before we sent him on an errand. Timothy Niligrini’s motorcycle tire had a blow out. He was stranded in Kulkpeni and had no way of getting to town to buy a new tire. Jack drove the motor king (a three wheeled motorcycle with a truck bed attached to the back) to Kulkpeni and loaded Timothy and his motorcycle in the bed of the motor king and brought them to Yendi. He dropped the motorcycle at the mechanics and then took Timothy to buy a new tire and tube. It sure is nice to have an extra pair of hands. Since Jack took care of Timothy and his problem it freed Steve and me up to work in the Child Center.
Timothy came out to the mission house after he got the new tire put on his motorcycle to thank us for helping him with a new tire. He told us that he had to go to his farm as quickly as possible to harvest his corn. He said he had a field of mature corn that was drying and the wind had blown it down. He said that since we have had lots of rain the corn that is on the grown has started to germinate and he is going to lose part of his crop.
If you remember that a couple weeks ago Steve paid for a very sick baby to go to the hospital but the baby died. The father of the baby came to the Mission house to tell us that the baby had died and that the hospital would not let them leave until the hospital bill had been paid. Steve gave the father the money to pay for the hospital bill. Well, today the father came back to the Center and brought back the money that we had given him to pay the hospital bill. He again told us how thankful that he was that we had helped him with the baby. Steve in turn gave the man back ¾ of the money as a sympathy gift for the family. How sweet and how sad!
Divine, the evangelist, stopped by for a visit this afternoon. He brought the rest of the forms for the church registrations. He has already been through the process so he is going to come to the church leaders / evangelists class on Friday and present the information to the other church leaders.
Take care and have a great day.
In His Service,
Jack, Steve and Kandie
