As soon as we finished our walk this morning we started making more diaper rash ointment for the babies at the Child Center.  We wanted to get all the ointment made that the Center would need for this month and while we are gone.  We knew that if we waited until later in the month to make it we might run out of time with the preparations for the seminar.  We stayed at it until we finished which was past noon.  We made 800 containers this morning.  They are all packed and labeled.  We are proud to have that job behind us.

Mr. Adams, the man that can fix anything, called this afternoon to let us know that he had finished working on the generator.  We have a few trees that need to be cut down because they are diseased.  Our brother-in-law Charlie gave us an electric chain saw which we will use to cut down the trees but the generator had not been started in several years so we had to take it to Mr. Adams.  He could not get the tiny holes in the carburetor cleaned out and he had tried to buy a new carburetor from Tamale but they did not have one that would fit.  Steve told him that he knew where to buy some spray carburetor cleaner that he thought might clean the shellac out of the tiny holes.  Mr. Adams was willing to give the cleaner a try.  Sure enough it worked.  The generator starts with just one pull.  Good news for us!

While we were out we bought the cement for the church we are going to visit tomorrow.  They want to plaster the inside of their church building and the floor.  Steve promised to help them at class last month but he wanted to see the building first.  We are going there tomorrow.

Mr. Iddrisu went home sick this afternoon.  When he told us he had diarrhea we immediately sent him home.  We sure do not want that!  We gave him some ORS (oral rehydration solution) so maybe he will feel better in a day or so.  He can always go to the doctor if he does not get better soon.

We spent the bulk of the afternoon working on the payroll for January.  We kept ending up with too much money which is not the worst problem to have but finally a few minutes ago we figured out that we were deducting the taxes twice.  Problem solved!

Take care and have a great day!

In His Service,

Steve and Kandie
