We are pooped!  We have been at Kulkpeni all day long.  We are proud to announce we got everything that was on our list finished.  Joshua, Timothy Niligrini, Tichak, Kwabena, Mr. Iddrisu and Nazo helped us.  We painted 3 buildings and 2 bath houses.  We patched the cement floors of 3 verandas.  We removed and replaced the door frame on one of the rooms that the termites had destroyed.  We build and floored a new bathhouse.  We cemented 3 doors in place, sprayed for bugs and removed 2 screen doors that were ruined.  Everyone worked very hard and we know that all the guys that helped us are as tired as we are.  We did all this in preparation for the seminar that will start on November 30th.  I am a list maker and we got to mark a bunch of stuff off our list today!  Zorash and Amama had to run the Child Center by themselves today but fortunately Wednesday is our slowest day.

This morning as we passed through town we picked up 5 loaves of bread just in case those that came to help had not had breakfast.  Then at 1:00 we came to town and bought lunch for everyone.  We even bought a couple watermelons for a mid afternoon snack.  Steve also gave the guys a monetary gift for their help.  It won’t be long before it is time for Bible Study.

While we were working Red, our part time driver, stopped at Kulkpeni to see what we were doing.  He said that he had come to the mission house for a visit and he found no one at home.  He said that everything was very quiet and it seemed strange that Mr. Iddrisu’s motorcycle and Nazo’s bicycle were sitting in the yard but no one was around.  He said that he had to go to Sambu the village beyond Kulkpeni and he saw the pickup so he stopped by to say Hello.  We did not know he was around until we heard, “Why did you not invite me to come and help you paint?”

Zorash said that she had been to see Meri and the new baby and that they were doing fine.  Meri and Zorash live in the same neighborhood.  We sent a gift to Meri for the baby.  We sent baby clothes, a blanket, baby powder, soap and a little money.  We will go to the naming ceremony in a few days.

Hope you have a great day!  Share the Yendi Notes with others that might be interested in the work.

In His Service,

Steve and Kandie
